Jerry Abarbanel is an organizational consultant and executive coach, specializing in Organization Effectiveness, Cultural Change, Strategy Implementation, Leadership Development and Executive Team-Building. Prior to his work as a consultant, he held a variety of senior level Organization and Leadership Development positions in such world-class organizations as GTE (now Verizon), General Electric Capital, Dun & Bradstreet, Citibank, and most recently the State Street Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President of Leadership and Change. In his 25 years in the corporate world, Jerry designed and pioneered many of the change management techniques and strategies that have become industry standards, worked as an advisor and coach to some of the business world’s leading executives and has played a variety of roles (thought partner, project head, designer, facilitator) in helping them shape and articulate their strategies and translate these strategies into action. Earlier in his career, Jerry worked as a manufacturing engineer for the General Electric Company and New York Telephone and was a full-time faculty member at Columbia University’s College of Engineering. Jerry received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University and holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Theory from Cornell.
